The place had a quiet atmosphere. Location: the hotel was close enough to a former monastery, Florence and Siena and all the attractions. We ate in the La Bottega Dell'oste restaurant, incredible food with fantastic service.

Fine views of the Tuscan landscape.
My experience was marred by several issues. First of all, the air conditioning in my room required intervention from the front desk just to cool down adequately. It was annoying to deal with a spa that charged €35 per person for limited access. That's outrageous. And on top of that, the walk back to the hotel from town was a strenuous uphill climb.

The charm of Cortona awaits
Sipping espresso while enjoying the amazing Tuscan views from my balcony was a highlight of the stay. The hotel's historic architecture and warm staff.
I did encounter some challenges finding the hotel's entrance due to the narrow streets. A detailed map or instructions would have been helpful.

The hotel is a lovely mix of beauty and comfort, with breath-taking views and friendly staff that go above and beyond. The breakfast spread is really good, though the walk up can be steep. A solid choice, just prepare for the journey to reach it.
